Current state of aviation job market

So based on what I'm hearing from fellow pilots, the hiring has slowed to trickle at all levels. FTU/703/704/705 hiring has slowed. Is this temporary, or a return to the old days of the oversupplied pilot job market?

You don't need 1000 hours just to start up north, so compain you shall not. It may slow, but I still wouldn't say it's that bad...yet.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd say the market is currently a 4. It could be so much worse.

Also this time of the year sucks for hiring, we used to get a bump for the oil patch flying in Alberta during the fall but its now well established sched runs year round not so much the hectic exploration pace. March is when you want to be pounded the pavement and getting a hold of the smaller operations up north as they gear up for the seasonal flying.

I am see lots of movement in flying and ramp positions. I have heard some slowing in corporate but still jobs there if you know where to look.
