Jazz promised flow to a company they can't control. Jazz should have to pay compensation to the affected pilots (all of them are affected in some way). Maybe Jazz management can sue AC for breaching the flow agreement, but that's between management teams at Jazz and AC.

Depends on the context. As a profession? It's slowly rising up from the bottom. Airlines and society are starting to value and respect pilots again. Slowly, very slowly, it is happening. I doubt we'll get back to where we were in the 90s, unfortunately. Air Travel as an industry? It's growing...
