Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice and career guidance.
Here’s my situation:
I completed my CPL and Group 1 several years ago. After some time away from flying, I was able to get hired through networking and visiting operators in person. I’m currently flying 702 multi piston aircraft and have moved into the left seat. I also have the opportunity to upgrade to captain on a turbine single, which I plan to do.
My question is about long term career progression. Over the next 2–3 years, I’d like to be in a position where I can settle down and be home more. Ideally, I’d like to move from 702 into 705 (not necessarily Jazz), potentially to something like Porter on the E2. Is that a realistic path from 702? Or would it make more sense to move to a 703 or a regional airline sooner rather than later?
I mention Jazz only because I’ve interviewed there, but I’m hesitant due to concerns about getting stuck there long term.
Current experience:
Any insight would be appreciated.
