Hi digits,
Thank you for letting us know you are having issues with the floating player. It’s a tricky thing technically to offer on mobile. The way it’s set up right now annoys me too. A one time opt out is currently being worked on.
If you can please PM me with the browser your using on mobile I’ll pass it on. Is it intermittent or never lets you minimize it? I spoke with the programmer this am and he thought he squashed this bug.
The intent of having a AI specialized on Canadian aviation data is for its use as a tool… not to answer forum discussion. We are currently building an interface where it will be prompted directly by a user for answers. The only way to access it right now though is via the forum. (This is currently disabled)
Two AI prototypes are being tested atm. An AI assistant that can assist a user with Canadian aviation job search. “I’m a fixed wing pilot looking for a flying position in eastern Canada, exclude FO positions. I have 3000hrs”. AI then searches all jobs that exist in Canada and returns applicable matches with one click. The second use case is for students. We are exploring having a AI model trained specifically to answer difficult Canadian aviation questions. The problem with asking general AI models field specific technical questions is hallucination responses.
If these AI make it past prototype stage, please give us your honest opinion. We are a small team with full time jobs so it’s a slow process but we have fun doing it. (Please send your feedback to Admin@aviationnorth.ca)
