Online Pilot Medicals

Ok perhaps I’m a dinosaur, but I’ve still still been going In to see the aviation doc in person in my city for aviation medicals. I’ve heard they’re being done online but I haven’t done that- what’s others experience been? Any recommendations?

Yes you can renew via telemedicine which is currently “allowed” via an exemption to the CARs to allow for it.

There are conditions and usually the CAME will go over them prior to conducting the exam to ensure you are eligible. But make sure you meet the eligibility requirements before hand.

I believe you can renew twice but then must do an in person before being allowed to again (for someone who is generally low risk and doesn’t have restrictions…etc.)

There is also a list of CAME’s on the site who do telemedicine. My recommendation is Marty Foggle in Winnipeg. That guy is the best.
